Transportation Logistics Supervisor Job

· Supervising, coordinating, and scheduling the activities of transportation and delivery staff.
· Establishing work schedules, assigning routes, and monitoring delivery timelines to ensure efficient logistics operations.
· Coordinating dispatching, vehicle routing, and tracking systems to optimize delivery performance.
· Ensuring compliance with transportation safety standards, workplace health and safety policies, and company procedures.
· Monitoring service performance, preparing work progress reports, and recommending operational improvements.
· Training staff in job duties, safety protocols, company policies, and customer service standards.
· Resolving work problems and handling customer service escalations in a timely and professional manner.
· Participating in the hiring process by assisting with recruitment, evaluating staff performance, and recommending personnel actions when required.
· Ordering and maintaining inventory of required supplies, equipment, and uniforms for staff.

Employment Requirements
· Completion of post- secondary school is required. Post-secondary education in business, logistics, or a related field is an asset.
· At least 3 years of supervisory experience in transportation, logistics, or courier services is required.
· Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
· Knowledge of logistics software, tracking systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
· Valid Ontario driver’s license is an asset.
