Salary: $37.00-$40.00 per hour–The gross salary paid will be subject to all applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions.
Vacation: 4% of the gross salary
Hours of Work: 35.00-44.00 Hours a week. Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week
Position Description:
This is a high-responsibility AZ Transport Truck Driver role specializing in long-haul and cross-border freight operations. The position involves dedicated U.S.-bound routes, time-sensitive commercial deliveries, and LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight management.
This is not a standard local or short-haul delivery position. The successful candidate will be responsible for regulatory compliance under both Canadian and U.S. transportation frameworks, independent route execution, and direct coordination with commercial clients.
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
Operate tractor-trailer (AZ) equipment safely and efficiently for long-haul and cross-border freight transportation.
Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections in compliance with the National Safety Code and FMCSA requirements.
Ensure proper load securement and weight distribution in accordance with federal cargo securement standards.
Manage cross-border documentation, including ACE/ACI filings, Bills of Lading, and customs-related paperwork.
Execute multi-stop LTL deliveries, including freight segregation, scheduling coordination, and customer confirmations.
Adhere strictly to Hours of Service regulations in both Canada and the United States using electronic logging systems.
Maintain accurate trip records, fuel reports, inspection logs, and delivery documentation.
Communicate effectively with dispatch, border officials, warehouse personnel, and clients to ensure timely and compliant deliveries.
Handle freight using appropriate equipment such as dollies and power jacks when required.
Represent the company professionally while maintaining strong client relationships at delivery sites.

Specific Job Requirements
Valid Ontario AZ Driver’s License in good standing with clean CVOR.
Minimum one-year of verifiable AZ tractor-trailer driving experience in long-haul/cross-border operations.
A valid U.S. visa and eligibility to enter the United States for cross-border commercial transportation purposes is mandatory.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to operate manual transmission tractor-trailers.
Demonstrated knowledge of cross-border regulations and long-haul freight operations is an asset.
Ability to lift, push, and pull 100 lbs or more safely.
Strong understanding of load securement, safety compliance, and transportation regulations.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
Flexibility to work extended hours and overtime as operationally required.
Experience with LTL freight handling and multi-stop deliveries is considered an asset.
