Job Description:
Trades Labour Corporation, located in Vancouver, BC is hiring full-time, permanent Administrative Officer.
Duties and responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily office administrative procedures, while assessing and introducing improvements when necessary.
- Set priorities, assign tasks to administrative staff, and ensure that timelines and organizational standards are consistently met.
- Manage administrative processes related to admissions for post-secondary institutions.
- Apply and oversee policies regarding the release of records, including requests under access to information and privacy legislation.
- Plan and coordinate a variety of office services, such as office space allocation, staff relocations, procurement of equipment and supplies, disposal of assets, parking arrangements, and facility maintenance and security.
- Analyze and manage administrative functions connected to budgeting, contracts, and project planning and execution.
- Support the preparation of operating budgets and monitor inventory as well as budgetary controls.
- Compile data to produce routine and special reports, manuals, and official correspondence.
- May supervise staff responsible for records management and other administrative support functions.
Location: 1265 Main Street, Vancouver, BC V6A 4B6
Requirement: Secondary school education is required. University degree or college diploma in business or public administration or Senior clerical experience required.
Language: English needed.
Salary: $30-37/hour
Benefits: 4% vacation pay
