Job Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate light-duty and heavy-duty tow trucks to transport vehicles
- Respond to roadside assistance calls, accidents, and vehicle breakdowns
- Secure vehicles using chains, winches, hooks, or flatbeds
- Provide emergency roadside services such as jump-starts, tire changes, lockouts, and fuel delivery
- Follow traffic laws, safety standards, and transportation regulations
- Set up safety equipment such as cones, flares, and warning lights at accident or breakdown scenes
- Communicate with customers in a professional and supportive manner
- Explain towing procedures, service charges, and timelines to clients
- Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance of tow trucks and equipment
- Report mechanical problems and arrange for necessary repairs
- Complete service reports, tow slips, and invoices accurately
- Maintain records of mileage, fuel usage, and services performed
- Coordinate with dispatchers to receive assignments and provide status updates
- Work with police, insurance companies, and auto repair shops as needed
- Recover vehicles from collision scenes or impound illegally parked vehicles
- Use specialized equipment such as dollies, wheel lifts, or flatbeds for towing
- Assist in clearing roadways after accidents to restore safe traffic flow
