Location: Banff, AB
Salary: $20.50 hourly for 30 hours per week

Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate in English and in Japanese orally and in writing is required;
- No degree, certificate or diploma is required;
- No specific credentials are required;
- No previous experience as a tour guide is required.

Job duties:
- Confirm transportation and accommodation reservations;
- Communicate with agencies and/or clients for any changes in itineraries if necessary;
- Collect administration or entrance fees and handle payments on behalf of clients;
- Co-ordinate recreation activities such as walking tours and hiking tours;
- Describe points of interest, explain history or background of sites and answer clients' questions in Japanese;
- Resolve itinerary and other problems by communicating with clients in Japanese;
- Pick up and drop off clients at hotels, airports, train stations and assist clients in check-in and check-out procedures as required;
- Provide information on Canadian tipping customs, currency exchange rates, metric conversion and other details for Japanese tourists who are unfamiliar with these customs/cultures;
- Assist clients with special needs if required

- Geographical Areas of Specialization: mainly in Banff or in Alberta, Canada;
- Number of Tours Guided: 5 - 10;
- Tours Focus: Sightseeing, Walking tours;
- Type of Guide: Escorted group travel guide, Escorted individual travel guide, Step-on local guide;
