is in need of Tire and Lube Technician
NOC Code: 74203
Employment Terms: Full Time – Permanent
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation, and recommend repair or replacement when necessary.
2. Remove, install, balance, and rotate tires on passenger vehicles, light trucks, and SUVs using appropriate equipment.
3. Perform wheel balancing and assist with wheel alignment inspections.
4. Change engine oil and replace oil filters according to manufacturer specifications.
5. Check and top up vehicle fluids, including coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, and windshield washer fluid.
6. Lubricate vehicle components as required during routine maintenance.
7. Inspect belts, hoses, batteries, brakes, lights, wiper blades, air filters, and other basic vehicle components, and report any issues to the supervisor or automotive technician.
8. Perform routine preventive maintenance services following company procedures and manufacturer recommendations.
9. Operate tire mounting, balancing, and lifting equipment safely and efficiently.
10. Maintain accurate service records and document completed maintenance and repairs.
11. Keep the service bay, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.
12. Assist automotive service technicians with basic repair tasks as directed.
13. Provide courteous and professional customer service by explaining maintenance recommendations when required.
14. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with workplace safety standards and environmental regulations.
15. Follow company policies, quality standards, and health and safety procedures at all times.
16. Perform other related tasks required
Employment Requirements:
1. Education: Some secondary school education is required.
2. Work Experience: At least 6 months experience is required.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Working Hours: 40 hours/week, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, Weekends off
Wage/Benefits: $23.00/hour, Company group insurance (Dental Insurance, Disability Insurance, Extended Medical Insurance) after 90 days probation period
