The Big Playhouse is seeking F/T Early Childhood Educators
Position Info:
Position: Early Childhood Educator (ECE)
Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $20.00~$23.00/hour (depending on experience)
Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week
Number of Positions: 3
Work Location: 249 East 57th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5X 1S6
Benefits:
4% vacation pay
Job Duties:
Develop and implement child-care programs that foster the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
Plan and conduct activities by reading stories and teaching songs
Set up rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and prepare snacks
Prepare reports for parents and supervisors regarding children’s behavioural issues and potential learning
Guide and assist children in eating, dressing and toilet habits.
Maintain daycare environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
Help children to express the creativities and find interests through art, music, play and physical activities
Establish guidelines for behaviour
Job requirements:
Language: English
Experience: Experience is an asset
Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required
Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, ECE Certificate
