Job Description
. Install, remove, maintain, and fix telephone, TV, and internet cables, both above and underground.
. Splice (join) and repair different types of cables like phone lines, coaxial cables, and fiber optics.
. Fix or replace damaged cables, power supplies, amplifiers, and other related equipment.
. Check, monitor, test, and adjust the cables and systems used for communication.
. Record and analyze the results of tests on the cables and systems.
. Climb poles, ladders, or work in tight spaces like trenches or tunnels to do the job.
. Work with others to plan and finish the tasks.
. Help set up and take down telecommunication poles, towers, and support structures.

. Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets

. Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access
. Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems
. Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers
