Job Overview:
At VAC Aero International Inc., Furnace Manufacturing we seek a Customer Service and Technical Support Engineering specialist with a strong background in operations, logistics and customer service, augmented by a robust technical and engineering education. This role is pivotal in ensuring exceptional service delivery through technical expertise and operational support enhancing our ability to meet and exceed customer expectations
Duties:
• Acting as the primary point of contact for both pre and post-sale customer interactions, ensuring a seamless experience through technical knowledge, logistics and customer service expertise. Explaining technical features to clients and answering product-specific questions.
• Assess customers’ requirements and recommend products and solutions
• Assist in development of sales proposals, negotiation of prices and other sales terms
• Overseeing and managing technical reviews, logistics processes, optimizing transportation and distribution with a focus on engineering solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
• Addressing and resolving customer technical inquiries and issues promptly, leveraging advanced problem-solving skills, metallurgical and technical understanding from an engineering, logistics and operations perspective
• Utilizing engineering, logistics and production knowledge to contribute to the development and optimization of operations, supply chain and warehousing strategies while driving customer delight
• Collaborating with engineering, production and procurement teams to ensure product support and troubleshooting align with technical specifications and customer requirements
• Analyzing customer feedback and market trends, integrating engineering insights to propose improvements and innovations in service delivery
• Prepare sales contracts and maintain detailed records and preparing reports on customer interactions, leveraging technical tools and software to enhance data analysis and presentation
• Ensuring adherence to quality management systems, technical standards, and company policies related to compliance and ethics

• 3+ years minimum experience in international logistics
• Demonstrated knowledge in understanding technical processes and management
• Proven experience in technical customer support and logistics management
• Background in a technical or engineering field
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems, with a strong aptitude for learning new technologies
• Ability to review and convert technical specifications
• Strong leadership abilities, with experience in managing teams and complex technical and logistics projects
• In-depth knowledge from courses such as Materials Science Mechanics, Design Fundamentals, and Production Management, enhancing ability to support technical aspects of customer service
• Expertise in materials science and advanced manufacturing techniques from coursework in Metallurgy and Advanced Manufacturing Techniques, crucial for advising on product-related inquiries
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical information to a non-technical audience
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing technical requirements and effectively managing multiple priorities
• Fluency (Read, Write, and Speak) in English
• Familiar with Incoterms (International Commercial Terms)
