Technical Engineering Specialist Job

- Provide customer technical support with respect to the use of KPX Chemical products
- Utilize knowledge of KPX flex foam products to support customers with pre-form mixing, simulations work, foam mold design, tooling and processing
- Develop solutions to quality issues independently or jointly with toll manufacturers and/or Korean parent company staff; confer with KPX Chemical or toll manufacturer’s R&D staff, sales team, procurement team, process engineer and/or other experts if necessary, facilitate the technical teams involved; identify and coordinate the additional resources to resolve issues.
- Work with the Parent Company’s sales, research, development, production and quality teams to improve existing or new KPX products based on feedbacks from customers; suggest ideas and technical information identified while addressing customer concerns to R&D team
- Provide technical education or training courses in KPX flex foam products processing for customers
- Research innovative trends and technology; deliver new information to customers to maintain or increase KPX market share.
- At customer’s request, conduct processing trials and provide detailed reports and processing data for each trial.
- Be an initial responder to customer’s complaints or issues with the products; investigate product quality issues to get at root cause; create detailed complaint reports, technical investigation results and any additional technical documentation for a clear picture on issues.
- Provide investigation reports with related analysis data and information in a detailed format for customer’s review; seek approvals from customers before making changes to formulas, materials or specifications to address the issues
- Meet with toll manufacturer production managers and technical support staff to ensure that material selection requirements and process parameters are complied with.
- Perform random inspection of products delivered from toll manufacturers to customer site; test and analyze products to ensure the product has been manufactured in accordance with KPX product formulas; create reports for customer, KPX and toll manufacturer circulation.
- Develop broad and diverse relationships with customer’s key employees such as plant manager, processing engineers and production specialists; develop and maintain relationship with local blenders and toll manufacturers to expand supplier base.

- specialized knowledge, skills, and experiences in polyurethan system development and application, automotive low-density seat foam or headliner systems, ISO bulk and large-scale blending operations, OEM validation, and mass production implementation.
- Occupant must be skilled in dealing with the KPX’s flex foam products, including pre-form mixing, simulations work, foam mold design, tooling and processing, to provide customer technical training with respect to use of processing of KPX Chemical products.
- experiences and skills in identifying root causes and developing solutions to quality issues.
- good communication skills to collaborate with various teams within the Parent Company in South Korea and engineers from enterprise clients as well as to develop relationships with existing and potential customers.
