Technical Electrical Sales Representative Job

• Prepare quotations based on Engineering specifications.
• Review electrical documents and choose parts required for quotation and design purposes.
• Create data sheets and drawing packages / BOM for project.
• Define product specifications for the purpose of guiding design group.
• Act as a technical resource to our clients, production, and sales team
• Maintain schedule to ensure that information is available to manufacturing to achieve delivery dates.
• Work closely with design, sales, purchasing and production teams to ensure we meet customer requirements.
• Generate Bills of Material to ensure supplies are available to manufacturing to achieve delivery dates.
• Ensure completed products are built according to required specifications and approvals.
• Analyze market trends and competitor actions to stay informed about new markets and emerging industry trends.
• Support the sales force with general operations to help reach the team’s objectives.
• Maintain relationships with existing clients and actively reach out to potential clients.

• Diploma or above in related field
• Electrical Sales Background is preferred
• Ability to assist in design and choosing electrical components at time of quotation
• Familiar with electrical distribution equipment from various manufacturers (Schneider, Siemens, Eaton, ABB etc.)
• Relevant knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, CSA 22.2 as asset
• Familiar with reading single line drawings in accordance with industry standards
• Some hands-on electrical wiring knowledge and proficiency would be an asset.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) & ERP System an asset
• Excellent interpersonal skills: a person who listens well, respects diversity of opinions and has an open, clear, and succinct communication style, both verbal and written.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
