Tax Manager Job

Responsibilities
• Serve as point of contact for clients
• Determine issues and proactively communicate solution options to clients and team
• Constantly serve clients as a trusted advisor
• Stay updated on changes in accounting and auditing standards, regulations, and industry practices
• Lead the staff to ensure accurate and timely client deliverable
• Knowledge of foreign reporting, i.e. FBAR, and Form 5471
• Collaborate with Partners on tax planning
• Research tax issues and providing guidance to clients
• Advocate for staff by assisting in mentoring, coaching, training, supervising, and evaluating
• Contribute to practice development activities that lead to the generation of new business
Qualifications
• BS Degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of technical tax experience in public accounting, or related field
• CPA, Enrolled Agent (EA), or equivalent certification is a must
• Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
• Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong operational and project management skills
• Leadership and supervisory skills
• Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment and approaches projects with a sense of urgency
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential material
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Taxation or related field
• Preferred: Experience with Thomson Reuters CS Professional Suite: UltraTax CS and AdvanceFlow

• CPA, Enrolled Agent (EA), or equivalent certification is a must
