Tailor Job

A fast paced facility is looking for an experienced Tailor:

Skills:

· Altering garments to improve comfort and fit – which includes shortening sleeves or straps, narrowing lapels, and taking in or letting out seams

· Repairing garments – patching or sewing tears and holes

· Accurately following notes left for each project

· Experience with leathers and fabrics an asset

· Repair or replace defective garment parts such as zippers, snaps, buttons, and linings

Must be an expert with fine fabrics

Must have experience with evening wear and bridal

Requirements:

· Minimum 4-6 years experience working as a Tailor

· Sound knowledge of fabrics

· Ability to use a commercial sewing machine

· Excellent organizational, problem solving, and time management skills

· Excellent communication skills

· Outstanding sewing skills

· Good hand-eye coordination

· Detail-oriented

· Team player

Must speak English

This is a full-time position working Tuesday - Saturday onsite.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

· Minimum 4-6 years experience working as a Tailor

· Sound knowledge of fabrics
