Systems Engineer Job

Systems Engineer is needed to perform the following duties :

• Manage and monitor all infrastructure and systems installations, including configuration, testing, and maintenance
• Implement and maintain strategies for backup, security, and redundancy
• Identify potential issues and implement solutions proactively
• Craft custom scripts that reduce the need for human interaction
• Enable faster and smarter business processes and develop meaningful analytics
• Engage regularly with upper management, providing reports on project status, activities, and achievements
• Installs, configures, and tests operating systems, application software, and system management tools
• Assist our IT manager by routinely analyzing system requirements based on business needs to develop custom applications for process automation and batch jobs using Oracle Jobs, Shell Scripts etc.;
• Work as part of our internal IT team under close supervision and guidance of our IT manager to design, support and maintain new & existing software applications using VB, ASP, IIS, JAVA, JSP etc.;
• Coordinate with our database administrator and contract IT engineers to analyze/design & test database including routinely creating/modifying database structure using data definition languages & data modeling using ERWIN/tools under close supervision and guidance from our IT
• Analyze requirements from various departmental heads and prepare draft technical map for system/application module design & development – will be guided by our IT manager who will review, correct and approve;
• Assist in developing test scripts and test newly designed applications/existing applications such as solutions and assist/interface with end-users; and
• Approximately 90% of the time will be spent in analyzing, designing, developing, and testing various software program/applications/database for petitioner’s use while being closely supervised and guided by our IT manager/team. Approximately 10% of the time will involve interacting with outside developers/engineers and in researching/analyzing latest/upcoming IT solutions/tools suitable for petitioner’s operations and preparing technical reports for IT manager to review.

Bachelor’s degree is required in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Information Systems
