Sweet Peas Cottage is seeking a F/T Early Childhood Educator. Job

Position Info:
o Position: Early Childhood Educator (ECE)
o Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
o Wage: $29.00~$31.00/hour (depending on experience)
o Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week
o Number of Positions: 1
o Work Location: 256 East 1st Street, North Vancouver, BC V7L 1B3

Job Duties:
o Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
o Plan and conduct activities by reading stories and teaching songs
o Set up rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and prepare snacks
o Prepare reports for parents and supervisors regarding children’s behavioural issues and potential learning
o Guide and assist children in eating, dressing and toilet habits.
o Maintain daycare equipment organized and sanitized
o Help children to express the creativities and find interests through art, music, play and physical activities
o Establish guidelines for behaviour

Job requirements:
o Language: English
o Experience: Experience is an asset
o Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required
o Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, ECE Certificate
