Sushiwood is seeking a F/T Restaurant Assistant Manager. Job

Position Info:
• Position: Restaurant Assistant Manager
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $38.50-$39.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 1
• Work Location: 702 Vernon Street, Nelson, BC V1L 4G2

Job Duties:
• Assist the manager in directing daily staff activities and shift assignments
• Track employee performance and support scheduling throughout each shift
• Collaborate with the manager to set and uphold consistent customer service standards
• Review inventory, sales, and wastage data submitted by supervisor and compile reports for management
• Analyze supplier costs and negotiate terms to support cost-effective purchasing decisions
• Enforce health, safety, and sanitation regulations throughout the premises
• Handle escalated customer complaints that supervisor is unable to resolve
• Oversee new staff onboarding and coordinate ongoing development with the manager

Job requirements:
• Language: English
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
• Experience: 3-5 years of supervisory experience in food services is required
