Sushiwood is seeking a F/T Food Service Supervisor. Job

Position Info:
• Position: Food Service Supervisor
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $23.00-$25.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 1
• Work Location: 702 Vernon Street, Nelson, BC V1L 4G2

Job Duties:
• Direct staff workflows on the floor to ensure consistent food preparation and service
• Restock inventory and kitchen supplies to maintain necessary stock levels during shifts
• Demonstrate technical duties, safety, and sanitation standards to new employees
• Estimate ingredient needs based on daily demand and place routine supply orders
• Monitor staffing levels during shifts and flag gaps to the assistant manager
• Check food presentation and service quality on the line for consistency
• Log daily sales, waste, and inventory figures for reporting purposes
• Resolve routine guest complaints on the floor and escalate unresolved issues upward

Job requirements:
• Language: English
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
• Experience: 2-3 years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience, is required
