Sushiwood is seeking a F/T Cook. Job

Position Info:
• Position: Cook
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $18.25-$19.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 1
• Work Location: 702 Vernon Street, Nelson, BC V1L 4G2

Job Duties:
• Cook full meals as well as specialized, individual dishes
• Adapt recipes to accommodate customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions
• Calculate portion sizes and track food costs to manage the kitchen budget
• Order necessary ingredients and kitchen supplies to keep operations running smoothly
• Train team members on proper food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety handling
• Track inventory levels and maintain accurate records of supplies and equipment
• Sanitize work stations and kitchen areas to meet cleanliness standards

Job requirements:
• Language: English
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
• Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required.
