Conditions:
? Position: Sushi Chef (NOC 62200)
? Status: Full-Time, Permanent position
? Wage: $37.00 per hour
? Working hours: 30 hours per week
? Ability to do shift work according to work schedule (daytime, evening, night, weekend)
? Vacation: 4% of gross salary
? Number of Positions: 1

Requirements:
? Completion of secondary school
? Experience: 5 years or more of experience in the food service sector,
including supervisory experience
? Proven record of high-level skills in handling sashimi and sushi
? Language: English is required

Job Duties:
? Prepare and cook complete Japanese specialty dishes, including premium sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and creative signature rolls.
? Plan and create seasonal menus, developing new recipes
while maintaining high restaurant standards.
? Estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order fresh seafood, premium ingredients, and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels
? Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of cooks and kitchen assistants, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality output during peak lunch and dinner hours.
? Train new staff in specialized sushi preparation, traditional knife skills,
and food handling procedures
? Inspect all kitchen areas, equipment, and supplies
to ensure strict adherence to BC health and safety regulations.
? Maintain detailed records of food and supply inventory and manage the requisition of specialized sushi-making tools and equipment as needed.
