Supply Chain Specialist – Procurement (NOC 12102) Job

Main Duties
• Evaluate risks, assess supply market trends, and develop reports and recommendations to management.
• Research and provide input into sourcing strategies and tender processes.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and optimize costs by leveraging the company’s buying power.
• Source and purchase specialized equipment, materials, and business services to support wholesale distribution operations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers (domestic and international) to ensure compliance, timely delivery, and quality assurance.
• Negotiate contract terms and conditions with suppliers and recommend contract awards.
• Establish delivery schedules, monitor logistics progress, and resolve supply chain issues with vendors and clients.
• Respond to internal customer inquiries, clarify requirements, and provide procurement support across business units.
• Ensure procurement practices comply with Canadian trade regulations and industry standards.

Employment Requirements
• Completion of a college diploma or apprenticeship program, or relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
• Previous experience in procurement or supply chain operations is required.
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with international trade, logistics, and import/export compliance is an asset.
