Job Description:

The Supervisor of Loan Operations Serves as a key member of the Association Loan Operations Team. Provides a business analysis level management role within the department. Devises and promotes best practices and automated ways of performing and supporting production responsibilities and tasks. Supervises the (three) accountants performing production responsibilities for the daily loan posting cycles, monthly processes and reporting, high risk accounting and the administration of direct note rate pricing. Performs accounting and reporting tasks as well as provides operational support on loan systems and related applications.
What You'll Do:
- Provides operational support, expertise and resolution for problems and exception inquiries regarding owned systems, applications and processes to the Customer Support Center, Correspondent Lending, Information Management Department and other AgFirst departments and all AgFirst associations.
- Responsible for regulatory reporting and supports annual production events such as IRS Reporting,fiscal year end close, and other duties assigned by the Association Loan Operations' director.
- Supervises Association Loan Operations staff members performing production responsibilities for the processing of owned systems, applications, and processes.
- Responsible for the oversight of day-to-day activities to ensure activities are performed, deadlines are met and that quality and adequate internal controls are maintained.
- Devises techniques for improved processes, workflows and productivity through new development, standardization, simplification, redesign or other procedural changes.
- Exercises the authority of a supervisor. Provides coaching and counseling and ensures opportunities for training and professional development are available to the staff.
- Ensure processes are documented and that adequate back-up for each function is available.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant accounting/banking experience.
- Strong working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, bank operations and regulations. Expertise in loan/banking/financial systems.
- Desire to embrace technology as a means of improving processes. Strong technical skills with software such as Excel and SQL. Familiarity with databases.
- Ability to estimate tasks, establish priorities, organize assignments, and properly allocate resources to complete the assignments and responsibilities within the established timeframes. Must be able to manage competing demands; balancing both team and individual responsibilities.
- Excellent customer service skills. Ability to cooperate and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with association customers, and AgFirst staff and Management.
- Creates and contributes to building a positive team environment with the Association Loan Operations group. Provides leadership and coaching to staff members.
- Must have strong organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
