Tasks
• Perform installations including cabling, mounting and network setup.
• Relocating cables and equipment, removing redundant cabling.
• Inspect, monitor, and test telecommunication cables.
• Analyzing the results.
• Replacing and repairing the damaged cables
• Diagnose and repair installation issues.
• Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Perform pre-site surveys.
• Install modems and software for Internet access.
• Test equipment to locate transmission faults
• Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures
• Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems
• Splice, join and connect wires
