Job Description:
Structural Engineer opening with an established, full-service Architecture & Engineering firm in Alpharetta, GA, specializing in K-12 education, commercial retail, office buildings, and industrial facilities, with in-house architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and interior design services.
Responsibilities
- Perform preliminary structural design while coordinating with architectural, civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines
- Design complete building structural systems utilizing steel, masonry, wood, cold-formed steel framing, and reinforced concrete
- Prepare structural engineering calculations and construction documents using Revit
- Perform construction administration, including shop drawing reviews and site observations
- Coordinate with project teams to meet client and company objectives
- Manage multiple projects and meet established deadlines
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Revit Structure and Microsoft Office
- Experience with RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, and Enercalc is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; self-motivated, detail-oriented, highly professional
- Strong technical problem-solving abilities; able to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited program, with a concentration in Structural Engineering
- 7+ years of structural design experience
- Experience designing commercial, educational, office, or industrial buildings
- Strong knowledge of structural building systems and construction documentation
Compensation & Benefits
- $90,000–$130,000 based on experience, plus a $5,000–$7,000 sign-on bonus
- Health, dental, vision, and life insurance; 401(k) match
- One work-from-home day per week after an initial period (hybrid)
