Job Description:
• Support offline store sales, logistics, and end-to-end operations across the United States to ensure stable performance and consistency (40%):
o Provide comprehensive support for offline store operations, including daily sales monitoring, logistics coordination, performance tracking, and customer engagement initiatives.
o Assist store managers in operational tasks such as inventory management, staffing alignment, display/visual merchandising, and troubleshooting of sales anomalies.
o Establish and refine sales and logistics systems for new stores, including ERP setup, order-to-shipment workflows, and reconciliation procedures to ensure accurate reporting and smooth store launches.
o Collaborate with logistics and accounting teams to standardize communication with franchisees, minimizing errors and ensuring efficient settlement, invoicing, and shipment release processes.
o Contribute marketing ideas and campaign concepts for seasonal promotions, providing training manuals, operational guides, and performance review reports to maintain brand standards nationwide.
• Lead new store development and expansion initiatives to support KGC’s long-term U.S. growth strategy (35%):
o Conduct feasibility studies for prospective store openings, analyzing location potential, competitive environment, and consumer demographics to recommend optimal expansion sites.
o Manage end-to-end new store setup including logistics planning, system integration, supply chain stabilization, and local market adaptation during the initial launch period.
o Provide operational guidance during the first year of store operations to ensure stability, sales growth, and compliance with KGC’s standard operating procedures (SOPs).
o Support expansion projects by coordinating between headquarters and U.S. teams, ensuring resources, product allocation, and operational systems are fully established before store launch.
o Perform ongoing assessments of new store performance, identifying operational gaps and recommending improvements in sales monitoring, logistics, and customer experience.
o Contribute to KGC’s revised U.S. expansion strategy by supporting large-scale partnerships with ethnic retailers such as H-Mart. In contrast to the previous model of identifying franchisees and opening stand-alone stores, the new approach emphasizes shop-in-shop entries within H-Mart’s expanding locations. This responsibility includes coordinating directly with H-Mart headquarters on purchase order (PO) processing and logistics management, while also maintaining close communication with each individual H-Mart branch to ensure seamless store integration and operations.
• Contribute specialized knowledge and operational expertise to strengthen corporate expansion and ensure the success of KGC’s U.S. retail presence (25%):
o Apply prior field knowledge in store audits, inventory normalization, and performance analysis to improve operational efficiency and reduce risks such as stock discrepancies and near-expiry losses.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, logistics, and finance) to implement localized campaigns, supply chain improvements, and operational enhancements tailored to U.S. market conditions.
o Provide innovative ideas for in-store promotions, customer service scripts, and visual merchandising to strengthen KGC’s cultural brand value and customer engagement.
o Prepare reports for senior management on store performance, new market opportunities, and lessons learned from expansion projects to inform long-term U.S. growth strategy.
o Ensure that proprietary knowledge and operational know-how gained from prior store launches is transferred into standardized procedures to support the large-scale rollout of new offline stores across the United States.
