The Radisson Blu Mall of America features 500 design forward guest rooms, unique spaces and over 26,000 square feet of meeting space, and is the first hotel connected to the Mall of America.

As a Stewarding Supervisor, you assist in supervising the Stewarding department, ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of all food and beverage outlets, kitchen, dinnerware, and food and beverage equipment. As the Stewarding Supervisor, you would also assist and supervise the setup and takedown of select kitchen and outlet areas. Other responsibilities include:

Implementing business strategies for the hotel which are aligned with the Radisson Blu overall mission, vision, values, and strategies

• Ensuring the execution of a rotating cleaning calendar for special cleaning projects and managing staff to clean accordingly

• Maintaining controls to guard against theft and waste

Ensuring a smooth operation of the Kitchen department

• Directing and assisting in the cleaning of floors and work surfaces daily

• Training the staff on proper use of dishwashing and other cleaning equipment

• Ensuring trash is removed promptly

Maintaining supplies and equipment for the cafeteria and Food and Beverage Department

• Maintaining levels of Stewarding stock, assisting in making requisitions and obtaining approval as needed

• Assuring proper distribution and storage of supplies

• Monitoring the supply of clean dishware, glassware, pots and pans

• Taking steps to ensure the kitchen and restaurant have needed supplies

• Checking the cleaning equipment daily and reporting any problems to the Maintenance department for repair

• Maintaining the cleanliness of prone areas and taking steps to correct when necessary

Developing and implementing strategies and practices which support employee engagement

• Providing employees with the orientation and training needed to understand expectations and perform their job responsibilities

• Communicating employee performance expectations and on-going feedback

• Providing employees with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and reach their fullest potential

Creating 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson Blu experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations

• Giving personal attention, taking personal responsibility and using teamwork when providing guest service

• Listening, apologizing with empathy, finding a solution and following through when resolving guest problems

• Providing Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis

• Assuming the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and using best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction

• Performing other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum one year supervisory experience, preferably in a full service stewarding operation

• 2 years experience in hotel food and beverage

• High school diploma required

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork

• Able to resolve conflicts guests, supervisor and employee

• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure

• Basic computer skills in MS Office, reservation systems, and point of sales systems

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Long hours are sometimes required, ability to work flexible schedule

• Ability to stand for long periods of time, frequent bending, occasionally stoop or crawl

• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and push or pull up to 150 pounds

• Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment
