Job Duties:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
Measure, cut and install light-gauge steel studs, tracks, and framing components
Assemble and erect interior and exterior wall systems, shaft walls, and ceiling grids
Install metal studs and drywall backing
Maintain, repair, and modify existing steel framing structures as required
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
Supervise apprentices and assist in training less experienced workers
Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
Work Site Environment:
Heavy workloads
Job is physically demanding
Handling material manually
