Staff, Hardware Design Engineer Job

Design hardware to enhance data center technology using cutting-edge Serdes technology at the highest bit rates possible. Work on computer hardware design and system-level development tasks that span from hardware definition to design, from qualification to product release. Be part of a team of experts in hardware design and collaborate with other teams and vendors during the development of the product, addressing and solving challenging problems throughout the process. Write hardware specifications and develop comprehensive test plans. Utilize Cadence/Allegro for schematic capture. Collaborate with ASIC teams for hardware bring-up. Debug hardware issues in the lab using analyzers and oscilloscopes.

Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or related field.
Experience: Ten (10) years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience in job offered, Hardware Design Engineer, Systems Hardware Engineer, or in a related occupation.

Education or experience in:
Academic training or work experience in the following:
1. 25G+ Ethernet and high-speed SerDes interfaces (56/112/224G)
2. High-speed PCB design and signal integrity
3. x86 architecture and control interfaces, including PCIe, MDIO, SPI, or I2C.
4. High-speed Board design methodology and design tools, including Cadence Concept and Allegro
5. Lab bring-up and design validation, interfacing with software, mechanical, signal integrity and power integrity disciplines.

Annual salary: At least $270,000/yr.
