Staff Counselor Job

Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL is looking for Staff Counselors. A qualified applicant will be Providing clinical psychological services including direct care, assessment, individual and group counseling services, and crisis intervention support; Providing consultation services regarding mental health issues to students, faculty, staff, and family and friends; Completing and maintaining accurate clinical records in a timely, ethical manner; Providing outreach and psychoeducational programming to the University community on mental health topics; Serving as liaison to University housing staff in the Division of Student Affairs for outreach, programming and training; Providing supervision and training to doctoral interns, practicum student trainees, and graduate assistants; and carrying out other related duties as assigned. Requirements: Master’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related field and three month’s experience in the position or three month’s experience in the Counseling field or Teaching Assistant in Psychology or Counseling; and Clinical experience providing individual and group counseling services; and providing outreach and psychoeducational programming.
