Job Description:
Streamworks Tech Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join its finance team in Toronto, Ontario. The successful candidate will support the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and be responsible for accounting operations, financial reporting, payroll administration, tax remittances, and compliance with internal financial policies. This is a permanent, full-time position offering competitive compensation and long-term employment stability.
Job Description
The Staff Accountant will work closely with the Executive Leadership Group to manage accounting, record keeping, and financial reporting in order to maintain the financial health of the company. The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer and record financial transactions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and cash management
- Prepare invoices and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable
- Manage accounts payable ensuring accuracy and policy compliance
- Administer payroll using Wagepoint and related tax remittance forms (i.e. company and employee T4, T2200, Employer Health Tax)
- Submit employee’s Timesheets and process employee expense claims
- Complete and submit tax remittances including GST/HST and PST filings
- Complete month-end and year-end closing processes, prepare financial reports and provide financial analysis and advisory support to leadership team
- Support audit preparation
- Perform other related accounting duties as required
Employment Requirements
Education:
- Degree or certification in business, administration, mathematics, finance, or accounting
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience with tax remittances including GST/HST and PST
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required)
- Experience with Wagepoint, Staxbill, Stripe, and other SAAS tools
- Fluent in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Professional Designation:
- CPA designation is an asset
Languages:
- English required
- Vietnamese is an asset
Special Requirements:
- No travel required
- Flexible working hours
Benefits:
- Three weeks paid vacation per year

Hours: 40 hours per week
Overtime: As per Ontario Employment Standards Act
