Stables Hand - Part time Job

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Stable Hand to assist with the day-to-day care and upkeep of our stable. The ideal candidate should have hands-on horse-handling experience, be comfortable working independently, and take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized stable environment.

Flexible shifts are available, including weekday mornings, weekday evening shifts, and rotating weekend morning and evening shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Feed and provide fresh water to horses according to established schedules.
Safely handle, turn out, and bring in horses, taking weather and stable conditions into consideration.
Clean stalls, paddocks, and common stable areas.
Assist with general stable upkeep and maintenance.
Monitor horses and report any changes, injuries, health concerns, or facility issues promptly.
Assist with basic horse care and medication administration when needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Handle grain, hay, and other stable supplies.
Perform other general stable duties as assigned.
Work independently and complete assigned tasks responsibly and safely.
Qualifications & Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Minimum 1 years of hands-on horse-handling experience.
Comfortable handling horses safely and confidently.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs, including grain bags and hay bales.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Reliable, responsible, and attentive to detail.
Willingness to perform physical and repetitive stable-related tasks.
Basic knowledge of horse medications and administration is a plus.
Experience operating a tractor or 4-wheeler is a plus.
Schedule

Flexible scheduling is available, including:

Weekday morning shifts
Weekday evening shifts
Rotating weekend morning shifts
Rotating weekend evening shifts
The position will generally offer 20–30 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours on occasion based on stable needs.
