Overview:
Seeking a Service Designer to define, author, and govern vehicle feature requirements supporting current and future programs. This role collaborates with Product Planning, Core Engineering, Systems Engineering, HMI, Software, Hardware, and Validation teams to translate customer/business needs into clear, testable, traceable requirements aligned with corporate milestones.
Key Skills:
Requirements definition, authoring, analysis, lifecycle management
Automotive systems engineering (functional decomposition, interfaces, architectures)
ISO 26262 safety requirements & traceability
INCOSE-aligned requirement engineering practices
Strong communication & cross-functional collaboration
MS Office, Chrome, Edge proficiency

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Systems Engineering (ABET accredited)
1–5 years automotive product development experience
Proven ability to coordinate requirement deliverables, manage dependencies, and meet milestones
Experience with regulatory requirements, standards, and industry best practices
Responsibilities:
Author, review, baseline, and maintain requirements throughout lifecycle
Facilitate cross-functional reviews, resolve gaps/conflicts, and apply best practices
Define/decompose customer needs into platform/system requirements
Tailor platform requirements for program-specific applications
Maintain traceability across system, subsystem, software, hardware, and validation requirements
Partner with validation teams to define acceptance criteria, support issue resolution, and ensure compliance
