Job Description:
Bear robotics is looking for a senior robotic software engineer to lead the robotics simulation development effort, to tackle challenging and innovative robotics projects collaborating with cross functional teams to create cutting edge solutions that enable intelligent and autonomous robots. In this role, you will:
• Lead a small team of software engineers working on a variety of interrelated projects
• Develop the highly efficient distributed robotics simulation system with high fidelity by making use of docker and other containerization and virtualization technologies
• Develop cloud service for supporting large scale robotics simulation, using public cloud platform (e.g. GCP, AWS) and container orchestration system (e.g. Kubernetes)
• Use Apache Airflow and Apache Kafka to develop simulation job scheduler to handle on-demand and periodical robotics simulation traffic
• Make use of cutting edge ML and LLM technologies to develop intelligent agent systems in simulation environment
• Develop robotics algorithm performance tracking system by making use of relational databases, non-relational databases and date visualization tools
• Integrate simulation with CI/CD to bring testing of software development to next level, to shorten the software release cycle
• Collaborate with localization, perception, navigation and other robotics algorithm teams to make use of simulation for preventing regression for autonomous software developments
• Contribute to research efforts, publishing papers and actively participating in the robotics community through conferences and events
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, statistics or other related field
Experience: Two (2) years of experience in software engineering or robotics engineering position
