As a Principal Data Engineer you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our organization’s Data and AI strategy. You are the go to expert staying current with all new cutting edge technology. Especially AI, Gen AI. We are supercharging our Data-Infrastructure and Processes. You will lead, build and design the development the technical intitiatives Across All facets of the Data Team. You must be driven, think out of the box, relentless and come up with solutions. From Day one you'll be expected to dive in. You'll have a huge impact on business as you are also dealing with the stakeholders and other divisions of the company.
Responsibilities
End-to-End Data Pipelines: Build resilient ELT/ETL workflows for diverse data types—including relational databases, event streams, PDFs, images, and logs—with automated testing, lineage tracking, and governance baked in.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Translate business needs into intuitive data models. Gather requirements and promote best practices across on-shore and off-shore teams.
Unified Data & AI Platform: Architect lakehouse-style platforms and data management stacks using technologies like Redshift, BigQuery, Airbyte, and Airflow.
Advanced Analytics & Forecasting: Create predictive models and scenario planning tools that inform budgeting, investment strategy, Financial impact.
AI-Embedded Workflows: Integrate GenAI and LLMs into everyday data tasks—automated documentation, document intelligence, conversational querying, and prompt-driven quality checks.
Technical Leadership & Governance: Define coding standards, review designs, and champion privacy, security, and cost-optimized architecture.
Real-Time & Streaming Infrastructure: Design scalable batch and streaming pipelines to support event-driven insights using Kafka, Spark, or similar tools.
Qualifications
Strong command of CI/CD (GitHub), (Kubernetes/Helm), and infrastructure-as-code.
Hands-on experience building data platforms using Python, advanced SQL, Airflow, Airbyte, cloud data warehouses (Redshift, BigQuery), and real-time systems (Kafka, Pub/Sub, or Kinesis).
Proven use of GenAI/LLM tools for document processing, code generation, or conversational data access.
Bachelor's or Master’s in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Excellent comprehension and communication skills with the ability to connect technical solutions to business goals and lead cross-functional collaboration.
11+ years designing and operating scalable data platforms that handle both structured and unstructured data.
Strong and deep experience in predictive modeling, optimization, time-series forecasting, financial scenario planning.
Must have expertise in dimensional modeling, wide-table strategies, and performance tuning for analytics workloads.
Pay range and compensation package
