Job Description:
Sohyang Korean Cuisine is located at 6345 Fraser Street, Vancouver, BC, V5W 3A3. We are currently looking for permanent, full time Specialty foods Chef (Korean foods). If you are interested, please submit your resume by e-mail.
Position: Specialty Foods Chef
Wage: CAD$27.00-37.00/hour (depending on experiences)
Types: Full-time, Permanent
Working hours: 30~ 40 hours/week
Benefits: 4% of vacation pay
Job Duties:
• Plan and instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of Korean foods
• Prepare and cook authentic Korean food items, chef’s specials, and specialty foods
• Create new recipes
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality and safety standards
• Demonstrate and train new cooking techniques/equipment to staff
• Supervise activities of cooks and staff
• Monitor and requisition food and supplies
• Arrange any repair /purchase of kitchen equipment
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies
Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school;
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in commercial food preparation required.
• Cook’s certification an asset.
