Title of Position: Specialty Cook - South Indian Cuisine (NOC 63200)

Vacancies: 8

Type of Position: Permanent, full time,

Wage & Hours: $37.00 per hour, 40 hours per week, Overtime pay after 44 hours per week

Job Duties:

• Prepare and cook complete South Indian cuisine meals daily.
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
• Clean kitchen and work areas.
• Organize and manage buffets and banquets.
• Prepare and follow strict international brand guidelines on south Indian cuisine.
• Work with Chefs preparing, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food.
• Prepare new menu items based on international brand requirements and their recipes.
• Demonstrate excellent food preparation practices, portion control & end to end food production.
• Preparing and catering meals for special events and receptions such as weddings and banquets.

Skills Required:

• Authentic South Indian cooking knowledge required.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Work under pressure.

Experience & Education Requirements:

• No formal education required
• 2-3 years’ experience as a Cook or Chef in South Indian (Tamil) Cuisine
