Specialized Cleaner – Carpets and HVAC Job

Black Bear Carpet Cleaning Ltd. (business address 33-4385 Northlands Blvd, Whistler, BC, V8E 1C5, Canada) is seeking a Specialized Cleaner – Carpets and HVAC for their location in Whistler, BC. It’s a full-time position with 35-40 hours/week – morning, day, evening, night, weekend.

As a Specialized Cleaner, you will be expected to perform the following duties:

Carpet Cleaning – 70% of the job duties
- Inspect carpets, rugs and upholstery and determine appropriate cleaning methods;
- Operate professional carpet cleaning and extraction equipment;
- Apply cleaning solutions, stain removers and deodorizers;
- Clean carpets, rugs, stairs and upholstered furniture;
- Treat stains and heavily soiled areas;
- Move furniture as required before and after cleaning;
- Load, unload and transport cleaning equipment and supplies;
- Clean and maintain equipment, tools and service vehicles;
- Follow health and safety procedures when handling chemicals and equipment;
- Communicate with customers regarding cleaning services and concerns;
- Assist with promotional activities, including distributing flyers and other advertising materials;
- Report equipment, property or safety issues to the supervisor or owner.

HVAC Systems Cleaning – 30% of the job duties
- Clean and maintain HVAC systems, including air ducts, vents, registers, exhaust systems, and related components.
- Inspect ductwork and ventilation systems for dust, debris, blockages, and other contaminants before and after cleaning.
- Operate specialized HVAC cleaning equipment, including industrial vacuums, air compressors, rotary brushes, and air-whip systems.
- Remove and properly dispose of dust, debris, and contaminants from ventilation systems while following workplace health and safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Must have completed high school or equivalent;
• Must have a minimum of one year of relevant work experience;
• Must have a valid driver’s license;
• Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize;?
• Must be able to remain calm and professional in difficult situations;
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English;
• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills;
• Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends;
