is in need of Sow Barn Worker
NOC: 85100
EMPLOYMENT TERMS: Full Time - Permanent
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Engaged in all day-to-day operation within the specific area of the swine production unit
assigned (i.e. breeding, farrowing, nursery).
2. Recognize and treat certain livestock health problems.
3. Maintain swine performance records.
4. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in the barns.
5. Perform necessary maintenance on farm facilities and equipment.
6. Ensure that biosecurity protocols are followed at all times.
7. Perform other related duties as required
WORKING HOURS: 9 hours/day, 45 hours/week; may vary depending on stage of production, 2 varied days off per week
WAGE/BENEFITS: $17.60/hour; 5 days paid sick leave
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
1. Education: No specific education is required
2. Work Experience: Previous experience is an asset but not required. On-the-job training will be provided to the right candidate
