Position: Sous Chef
Available Position: 1
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $36.60-$38.00 per hour
Work Hour: 40 hours per week
Benefits: 4% of the gross salary
Work Location: 1175 Davie Street, Vancouver, BC V6E 1N2
Job Duties:
-Manage kitchen and hot food stations
-Supervise cooking, plating and servicing of hot food menus
-Supervise cooks, kitchen helpers and dishwashers.
-Instruct kitchen staff in cooking menu items and perform quality check before service.
-Manage inventory of meat, vegetables and frozen seafood.
-Contribute to developing new menus and seasonal specials
-Maintain kitchen equipment, freezer and supplies
Requirements:
-Completion of secondary school
-Completion of an apprenticeship program or culinary school program is an asset.
-At least 3-5 years of Cook experience in commercial Japanese and sushi kitchen is required.
-English is required
