Position: Sous-Chef (International Fusion Foods)
Wages: CAD$27.00-37.00/hour (depending on experiences)
Types: Full-time, Permanent
Working hours: 30-40 hours/week
Benefits: 4% of vacation pay
Job Duties:
• Supervise activities of chefs, cooks, and cooking staff
• Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
• Prepare and cook complete meals or specialty foods
• Create decorative food displays for special events such as banquets
• Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
• Create new recipes
• Assist head chef in planning menus
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school;
• 2-3 years of experience in commercial food preparation.
• Cook's trade certification an asset
