Job title: Sourcing Specialist (NOC 12102)
Salary: $26.00/hour
Employment type: Full-time permanent
Work hours: Monday-Friday, 30 hours/week

Vacation: 2 weeks of paid vacation per annum or remuneration of 4% of basic salary

Job duties

Identify restaurant purchasing needs and place orders for ingredients, packaging, and operational supplies.
Purchase daily food and non-food items to maintain proper inventory levels.
Evaluate supplier reliability, pricing, and quality to ensure a steady supply of ingredients and materials.
Identify cost-saving opportunities, such as finding better-priced suppliers or bulk purchase discounts.
Negotiate prices, order quantities, and payment terms with suppliers, comparing different quotes.
Arrange and track delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival of ingredients and supplies, resolving any delivery issues with suppliers.
Handle purchasing-related inquiries from suppliers and internal staff.
Ensure all purchased items meet restaurant quality and hygiene standards.
Keep accurate records of purchases, invoices, and supplier information.

Job requirements
Completion of secondary school is a must.
A university degree or college diploma in economics, logistics, or related field is preferred.
At least a year of working experience as a purchaser or similar role is a must.
Ability to work independently and coordinate with suppliers and internal staff.
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
Organizational and time management skills.
Good negotiation and communication skills.
