Job Requirements:
Languages: English
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
Job responsibilities:
- Identify the organization’s purchasing requirements and develop specifications for equipment, tools, components, and materials needed for store operations and repair services.
- Review purchasing requests and verify accuracy, compliance, and budget considerations.
- Source potential suppliers by assessing product availability, reliability, pricing, and quality.
- Obtain and review quotations, proposals, and tender submissions from various suppliers.
- Negotiate purchase terms including pricing, delivery timelines, warranties, and service agreements.
- Prepare purchase orders and procurement contracts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Monitor purchase orders, shipment timelines, and delivery schedules to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain ongoing communication to address delivery issues, defects, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Maintain procurement records, supplier files, contracts, and purchasing documentation in an organized system.
- Collaborate with internal teams—including technicians, sales staff, and store managers—to confirm needs and resolve supply-related concerns.
- Work with suppliers to resolve issues related to returns, replacements, or credit adjustments.
- Track inventory levels and assist in planning replenishment cycles to prevent shortages.
- Support logistics activities by coordinating transportation, tracking shipments, and ensuring accurate receipt of goods.
- Participate in internal audits to ensure compliance with procurement processes and inventory controls.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through vendor consolidation, product alternatives, or improved sourcing strategies.
