Solid Tumor Program Coord Job

The Solid Tumor Program Coordinator will work to enhance the Solid Tumor Program through program infrastructure development, research, and aid in the care of patients of all ages diagnosed, treated, or referred with a solid tumor at Cook Children's Medical Center. The goal of position is to improve care by advocating for patients and families by navigating multidisciplinary services necessary for best comprehensive treatment. The Solid Tumor Program Coordinator will serve as a liaison and resource expert on solid tumor disease process and provide education to patients, families, staff and the community. This position requires strong clinical expertise, interpersonal skills and leadership skills. The positions requires effective communication, flexibility, strong organizational skills and adaptability to change. The Solid Tumor Program Coordinator needs to be a motivated, self-directed, independent thinker with the ability to collaborate within team environments.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program


• BSN is required


• CPR - BLS and PALS are required


• Preferred 3-5 years of recent RN experience in Oncology


• Preferred Certification in Oncology Nursing, OCN, ACON, or CPON
