DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join our Specialized Test Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans to ensure the reliability and performance of our Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and physiology products. This role requires a strong understanding of firmware, algorithm and non-product software testing methodologies, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Design and develop test plans, test procedures, and test cases to verify new products and improvements of existing Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), angiography, and imaging technology against requirements.
Design, develop and execute non-product software validations.
Support the hardware and software development teams to test design changes and troubleshoot issues.
Perform and document verification testing results for software algorithms and firmware
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in testing technologies and methodologies.
Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on design for testability.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering
Will consider entry level candidates with exposure to Firmware testing from school, or internship.
0-2+ years of experience in the medical device industry.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Must be US Citizen, or Green Card Holder.
Must be local to the MA area. Sorry, no relocations.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of imaging algorithms, electronics, firmware, or optical testing methodologies, tools and equipment.
Experience debugging software.
Experience creating test applications in Python or Matlab.
Experience with test automation.
Familiarity with the medical device industry and regulations.
