Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Software Test Analyst to support software testing and QA activities for technology initiatives and application enhancements, collaborating with IT, development, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
2. Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT (user acceptance testing)
3. Review requirements to identify gaps and quality risks
4. Document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution
5. Build automated test banks and regression test suites
6. Perform data validation/reconciliation, including SQL queries
7. Test system integrations, APIs, and application workflows
8. Support deployment and production validation activities
9. Maintain testing documentation and provide status updates
10. Recommend process improvements for testing efficiency
Required Skills and Certification:
• Bachelor's degree
• 7+ years in IT quality assurance, software testing, or systems analysis
• 5+ years of developing
• 5+ years identifying, documenting, and tracking defects
• 5+ years with Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar defect management platforms
• Strong analytical, communication, and multi-tasking skills
Preferred Skills and Certification:
• SQL and database testing experience
• API/system integration testing
• Automated testing tools experience
• Agile/Scrum environment experience
• Knowledge of SDLC and testing methodologies
• Experience on large-scale IT projects/implementations
Scheduling:
• Hours: 40/week, Hybrid (onsite Mon/Tue)
• Interview: In-person in Lansing, MI
