Job Description:
Coordinate carriers’ technical acceptance. Work with engineering teams for device certifications. Create automated tests for mobile sanity-based applications. Handling test and certification activities etc. Fill and maintain compliance matrix documents for wireless devices. Create detailed, comprehensive and well – structured test plans, write automation script and implement software applications and execute test scripts/case. Analyze cellular technical requirements and provide feedback to modem/telephony and android engineering teams on feasibility to implement in device software. Work with engineering team to obtain compliance responses applicable for smartphones like Google pixel. Executing functional tests for new advance technologies features. Capturing the test results using tools like Google’s internal tracking tool. Provide inputs on functional and operational requirements and in software design review meetings. Triage and root-cause analysis of issues raised by carrier labs. Provide feedback to engineering team based on first level log analysis. Meeting with software development team to discuss and focus on issues that need attention by identifying the target areas and preparing software bug reports. Support team and helping them to verify it and coordinating with development team in fixing them. Estimate the requirements using various estimation techniques and produce the final estimates. Highlight if there is any slippage in the plan which is laid down at the start of the project. Document systems manual that can be used as reference for future enhancements. Preparation of Test Plan, Test cases, release notes and technical/Business documentation. Provide feedback based on requirement analysis in test case design, test plan enhancement and improvement. Review activities - TC design, Test Cases, Test Plans, Test Results. Participate in user training and knowledge transfer sessions. Participate in User Requirement workshops. Conduct workshop for testing team to provide knowledge of implementation of new requirements. Participate in review meetings of various on-site activities for OEM’s issue. Recommend improvements to the testing process to create efficiencies. Track quality assurance metrics like defect densities and open defect counts. Will use skills, tools or technologies like 3GPP Technical Specifications (TS); Spectrum Access System (SAS) and spectrum management frameworks; Log analysis, including Qualcomm QXDM, R/S (Rohde & Schwarz) / Keysight network simulators, protocol analyzers, and MediaTek NLT; Triage and Root-Cause Analysis of Issues for complex system and network problems; Developing and implementing scripts using Python and Perl; UAI (User Assistance Information).
Work site: 14800 Quorum Drive, Suite 286, Dallas, TX 75254. Position is based out of and reports to Appzlogic, Inc.’s headquarters in Dallas, Texas but allows for the option to telecommute from home anywhere in the U.S.
Minimum Educ/Exp: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering/related and two years of related experience.
Must have two years of experience in the following:
• 3GPP Technical Specifications (TS)
• Spectrum Access System (SAS) and spectrum management frameworks
• Log analysis, including Qualcomm QXDM, R/S (Rohde & Schwarz) / Keysight network simulators, protocol analyzers, and MediaTek NLT
• Triage and Root-Cause Analysis of Issues for complex system and network problems
• Developing and implementing scripts using Python and Perl
• UAI (User Assistance Information)
