Software Engineer Job

Responsible for developing and maintaining complex software for the Pluribus Netvisor OS using C/Linux programming expertise as well as developing Netvisor OS solutions for a variety of network processors and merchant silicon by designing and integrating off-the-shelf ASICs into the Netvisor OS and Pluribus product line. Work in a collaborative environment mentoring more junior developers. Receive assigned bugs in Netvisor core platform code (written in C) that will need to be triaged, fixed, unit tested, code reviewed, documented, and committed to the appropriate Netvisor release. Receive assigned features to be done in Netvisor core platform code that will need to be designed, coded, unit tested, reviewed, documented, and committed to the appropriate Netvisor release. Receive assigned new platform bringup to be done in Netvisor core platform code that will need to be designed, coded, unit tested, reviewed, documented, and committed to the appropriate Netvisor release. Liaise with switch hardware manufacturing partners in order to triage and troubleshoot issues with the integration of Netvisor software with the manufacturer’s switch hardware; drive the investigation to resolution and incorporate required changes into the Netvisor software. Liaise with ASIC manufacturing partners in order to triage and troubleshoot issues with the integration of Netvisor software with the ASIC; drive the investigation to resolution and incorporate required changes into the Netvisor software. Support Dev Test and Technical Marketing teams by troubleshooting issues and explaining functionality during the test cycle of Netvisor releases. Support our internal Tech Support team, as needed, by troubleshooting issues and explaining the functionality of escalated customer issues with Netvisor software.

Requires Master’s degree in CS, CE, EE or related technical field or foreign equivalent.
