Job Description:
Duties: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture to support high-traffic member and partner platforms. Analyze business and technical requirements, translate them into system designs, and implement reliable, testable, and maintainable software following industry best practices. Build and support cloud native applications deployed on Kubernetes and cloud platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and fault tolerance. Design and optimize data access layers using relational databases (Postgres/MySQL) and integrate distributed systems components such as Kafka and Redis. Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, QA, and other engineering teams to deliver iterative product improvements. Support production systems through on-call rotations, troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes. Contribute to system architecture decisions, code reviews, technical documentation, and refactoring of legacy systems.
Minimum Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field
• Experience: Two (2) years of experience in software development using a high-level programming language
• Specific Skills: Education or experience in: 1. Java; 2. Object oriented design principles; 3. Developing and integrating RESTful APIs; 4. SQL and/or PostgreSQL; 5. Kubernetes / container orchestration; 6. Redis; and 7. Kafka
Pay Range and Benefits Information: The base salary for this role is between $154,500 - $170,000 per year. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.
