Position Title: Software Engineer III
Location: 179 South Street, Floor 5, Boston MA 02111
Position Responsibilities: Act as a liaison between client stakeholders and the software development team which includes gathering customer feedback, documenting it in form of business requirement documentation and keeping stakeholders updated about the progress of product development. Collaborating with the director of product development to define the product vision and strategy for both short- and long-term goals for the product and charting out a product roadmap. Responsible for managing the product backlog which includes a prioritized list of features, software enhancements, and bug fixes. Work closely with the software development team to define user stories for the product and their respective acceptance criteria. Will use knowledge and software development skills to explain the need for the software feature to the development team and ensure all roadblocks are resolved while delivering the feature. Act as a primary source of contact between client teams and development team to obtain required test data or resolve any roadblocks or bug fixes on the way. Work on continuously improving the product by identifying any new usability issues, keeping up to date with the market trends and technologies and emerging customer needs. Monitor product progress by measuring key product performance indicators and work on continuously improving these KPIs. Prioritize technical debt management over new feature release by constantly engaging with the development team and considering their feedback.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, or a related field PLUS demonstrable knowledge of: NodeJS; Python; Docker; ReactJS; Firebase; GCP; Postgres; MongoDB; Linux, and; Git. Required knowledge may be acquired prior to, or concurrent with, Bachelor’s degree. Travel to unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S., approximately 30%, as required. May telecommute from any location within the U.S.
