Software Engineer Job

Designs and develops software tools to automate engineering computations for the Engineering department and HIWIN customers to use; Assists in coding, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software; Participates in planning for improvement of software design and code development; Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders e.g. Marketing and Business Services to understand and implement their requirements in the design of software tools; Participates in and supports ERP implementations; Coordinates with the Engineering team to schedule, plan, and implement software projects within deadlines; Works with the IT department to develop web server infrastructure; Responsible for user interface and user experience (UX) design, considering the requirements of users and stakeholders; Assists with project scoping for HIWIN’s digital transformation and digital infrastructure initiatives; Plans the overall software design, project phases, and timeline; Develops documentation, e.g. user manuals and developer guides; Creates flowcharts and other documentations to identify requirements for software and to propose possible solutions; Applies computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to the software development process; Performs software systems testing with a focus on procedures and coding; and Debugs and fixes problems found during testing activities.

Bachelors or foreign degree equivalent in computer science or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in software development. Special skills – Experience with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) phases in software design and deployment; Agile/Scrum methodology for software development; and Angular 11, React.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
