1. Modify software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces.
2. Direct system testing and validation procedures.
3. Direct software programming and documentation development.
4. Consult with departments or customers on project status and proposals.
5. Work with customers or departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.
6. Analyze information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modifications of an existing system.
7. Consult with engineering staff to evaluate software hardware interfaces and develop specifications and performance requirements.
8. Design and developing software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and design consequences.
9. Prepare reports on programming project specifications, activities, or status.
Travel required to unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S.
Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience required.
